Affordable stamped concrete

Concrete Impressions put in a new double driveway, replaced a 9x9 porch and steps with stamped concrete, and installed cobblestone stamp concrete paths to the front and driveway. They also installed a retaining wall and tied in all of the gutters from the house (including digging trenches).

Overall, Concrete Impressions did high quality work, and were quick to come out for the bid, produce the estimate (did so on the spot), and get started. The only downside was that they weren't great on communication - re: their exact timing for the work to be done, and also they made some incorrect assumptions on how the project should be done (they did it differently than the sketch on the bid). On the plus side, they corrected for these inaccuracies without any complaints, but we had to be proactive in communicating with them.

Their bid was substantially lower than the four others that we got (the others were landscapers who broke out the concrete component), so overall More

Extremely responsive and reasonably priced

Chris at Father Nature's and his crew did excellent work on our parent's front landscaping. We ended up working with another company to do the concrete and so the communication wasn't great to Chris about when we were ready for his team to work, but he was always friendly, understanding, and flexible.

The scope of the project was to prepare rough soil, regrade, etc.; bring in topsoil; design and plant four planting areas including a tree, build a trellis, put in sod, bring in several yards of gravel for the street, and transplant several large plants. They also ended up putting in a drain for the retaining wall that another company built.

They weren't the very cheapest of the four bids we got, but they were only a couple hundred more than the lowest and were substantially less than the other two, moreover they are more professional and had good reviews.

Chris came up with some creative solutions for the landscaping in terms of plants, a trellis More

Quick response for heat pumps and furnace

We have a house with two furnaces that required two systems for air conditioning. We opted for heat pumps given the energy savings. We had very little space on the sides of our house, and wanted to minimize the loss of front or back yard space so we opted for a Bryant system with a narrower footprint. Gas Appliance Service sells Bryant systems and was the most responsive and helpful of the companies form which we got bids. Their prices were reasonable, and they got to work right away despite it being June. They handled permits, etc. for us. They also installed a new furnace downstairs, and reworked and insulated the ducts upstairs to improve air flow. Overall we were very pleased with the work and have appreciated the comfortable temperatures in our house this past year.

Excellent interior drainage system for our basement waterproofing project

We received several bids for this project, and while this wasn't the least expensive, it was very clear that Rod had the greatest expertise in waterproofing. Rod's interior drainage system design was the most comprehensive and we felt that it was worth a bit more money to ensure that the waterproofing would hold over the years. He also stands behind his work with a guarantee. Although it's only been one year, we've had relatively heavy rains here in Seattle and we have not seen any moisture in our basement.

One thing that I particularly appreciated was that his crew did all the work to move the considerable amount of metal shelving and stored items in our basement and cover all of the items while they worked, and then put them back in place. This saved us at least two weekends of back breaking work.

We were happy to refer Waterproofing Plus to our close friends just yesterday after the heavy rains here in Seattle.
